I find it amazing that people are struggling to comprehend the options on this poll and how the differences are big enough that it was necessary to split them all out to get an accurate picture of what's happening.

I find it amazing that you find illegible text amazing. It's not the options, it's called clarity and formatting, which is not the OP's fault so much as they cannot control the type and formatting of poll options, but he could have looked at the poll and thought "Hang on a sec - that's a bloomin' kludgy mess"

Just sayin' :)

Was trying out the battery today. Took it off the charger at 7AM and at 5PM I had 2% left from moderate to heavy use through the day. Pretty decent if you ask me but I definitely can get a lot more out of my S4 with the same amount of use.

Good battery life on my iPhone 4 during regular usage. It didn't survive the night, however. I think something froze at 100% CPU and ate up all of the 60% of remaining battery.

I can only tell between iOS 6.1.4 on iphone5 and beta3, but I unplugged at 100% this morning and I just got to work 50mins later, usual news, FB, twitter, forum browsing. Now I have 73% :0 we all know its beta but this probably means I have to jump back to ios6 for now. :(

Getting some excellent results here .. Only disabled location and background refresh for weather and stocks ... Rest all is running like mail, fb, whatsapp, etc..

This is from overnight with few messages and mail received ...

Upon OTA-updating my iPhone 5 I found battery life to be far less in length than that of beta 2. However, I decided to then restore to beta 3 with iTunes and I'm finding it to be comparable to beta 2 if not better.

No battery problems for me after the update to Beta 3 on my iPhone 5. If anything, I feel like my battery life actually improved over Beta 2.

Using tapatalk so can't really speak in regards to readability of the poll, but my i5 is killing it on beta 3. Most usage is wifi usage, but I'm fairly impressed.

About 10% per hour battery drain for me while on wifi, whereas on 3G it's 15%. Seems to be the case since iOS 6.

Pretty much anyone posting on here should be quite familiar with computers, most of them are probably under the qualification of "geek", including you.

Oh your one of those hypocritical posters... I guess using your 'logic' that makes you one too pal?!

People use these forums for help/advice. The reason why some may come here are the far opposite of being a computer geek!

I am seeing a drastic improvement over beta2...

4s and did an OTA update...

Got some great battery life after an OTA install of Beta 3. Previous betas were fine as well, save for a my first install of Beta 1 when my battery died within a couple of hours. It never happened again though.

You're saying it as if being a geek is a bad thing

If this poll is too complicated for you to understand (it's really astonishingly simple by my books) then don't vote in it!

But if you feel like you need an explanation, here's a breakdown of your options:

Options 1 to 4: iPhone 4
Options 5 to 8: iPhone 5
Options 9 to 12: iPhone 4S

Then it's just:

Battery Drain (yes/no)
and
Install Type (clean/upgraded)

That's it!

----------

Results so far:

71.43% are NOT seeing Battery Drain in Beta 3

There isn't any correlation between install type and Battery Drain, and most people not having problems did an OTA upgrade of Beta 3. This means that doing a "clean" install will not automatically solve your battery issues.

Beta 2 was great for me, but since updating OTA on my iPhone 5 the batter usage is shockingly bad. Had 1 hour 34 minutes of usage (just texting, no calls or browsing etc) and I've gone from 100% to 49% charge.

Yesterday, just another normal day with the 5.. A few txt messages 6 phone calls... I almost always come home with 65% battery left.
Yesterday on the way home the 20% warning was on.. So there is def a battery hit on MY iphone 5 with B3
Fresh install all extra junk turned off

Ok, not sure about everyone else here but the battery life on my iPhone 5 have been vastly improved after the beta 3. The phone doesn't get hot anyomre. Getting more battery life then I did when my phone was jailbroken.

And I have not done anything at all, exept the simple OTA update.

Had you mostly been using your iPhone 5 on 3G or wifi on that screenshot?

I voted the last option even though I'm on beta 3... I wanted to vote! But none of the options applied to me (I guess you could say it was NO it didn't get worse..).

iPhone 5, had it replaced on the day of the WWDC keynote, due to not getting more than 4 hours battery life.
I've had iOS 7 on it since that day, so no idea how this battery is doing anyway. Beta 1+2 crashed many times during the day, so I've not actually been able to see how long my battery usage is!

Now on Beta 3, hard to say as I've not used it much.

At the moment, after having it plugged in at my desk whilst playing music on a radio app (not something I usually do), 81% after 1 hour 3 minutes.
Some quick reckoning, I should get 5.5 hours out of 100%. I'll not be plugging it in again now til it's sub 10% so I guess I'll see..

I use my phone on 3G about 90% of the time.
