Is there any chance that once iOS6 is live, that Apple may have a web equivalent of Maps online?

I love Google Maps, but also like consistency! If I get used to these new Apple Maps on my iPhone, which look pretty good so far... I'd love to be able to use them in a browser too. Just a thought.

Why would they announce it? its just a basic navigation feature. agreed its probably not gonna show but you never know. the first 2 betas didnt allow you to turn off voice. now it does.

Given how well the auto brightness works I really don't think we need a night mode so to speak

I'm quite excited about this addition and as I drive circa 36,000miles a year I might even drop my tomtom.
Does any one know what happens during phone calls?
Can you play/stream music at the same time?
Thanks.

I disagree. When the device is on your windscreen night mode is supposed to make it less distracting and safer rather than just a bit darker. The whole colour map is normally changed.

My guess is that they will just have a Mac app on Mountain Lion. That way they give you desktop access, but still keep it exclusive to Apple users. Plus they can use it as a point to upgrade for non-ML users.
