Can we please have a sub-forum for all the I'm not a developer, I didn't listen to Apple's advice, I am running iOS 5 Beta on my every day phone and it screwed something up or something isn't working right posts? Either that or can such posts just be deleted from here seeing how the iOS 5 betas are still under an NDA?

My vote is still for Wasteland, and you are right in that those betas are under NDA.

Again, there is no way for us to know is someone really a dev or not. Asking for proof would take too much work from us and I don't see it being viable solution either.

The same applies for NDA. Basically, we either allow it or we don't allow it. Otherwise it gets too hard and judgement calls by the mods may have to be made. Seeing that this is MacRumors, prohibiting it doesn't seem like the best option IMO. I think the front page is full of stuff that violates the NDA anyway. To be honest, I would say lots of people come here because they want to know about the unannounced features of next gen OSs, so prohibiting that might even steer people away from MR. If someone wants to break the NDA, it's not really our issue.

I think the iOS Beta forum is still the best option. Real devs should stay in Apple's forums anyway due to NDA and a separate forum would limit the discussion there so you wouldn't have to see those threads again. Seeing that Lion has its own forum, it would be reasonable to have one for iOS too.

Keep in mind that what I say here is not an official policy or announcement by any means. These are just my opinions. Official policies are posted by administrators.
