Beta iOS 5 Baseband

Anyone care to elaborate whether the beta iOS updates your baseband. Just wondering.

If you believe this guy, it's 04.11.04, a newer baseband. BLAST!

Guess I'll play around with iOS5 on my iPad only for now using this hot, new non-dev activation method 🙂

If you don't mind not making phone calls, go ahead. That method takes you to the Springboard, but your phone never gets activated.

Updated mine, but somebody said when they downgraded it went back down. But basebands are not downgrade able so i dont know if that is true. It changes the value of the BB for sure though.

I didn't know this method worked on the iPad/iPod touch since the trick is to get to the "Emergency Call" screen.

2. Triple click the home button and Emergency Call will appear.
3. Click on Emergency Call and, while it's switching, swipe with your three fingers down.

Good point. Was just about to update my iPad too. Ok, no iOS 5 for me until release day then. sadness.
