I got a brand new iPhone 7 plus and I am seeing a 10.1 beta 2 update.

Funny thing is I don't have a beta profile installed on this phone, nor did I ever. In settings when I go to General there is no "profile" setting visible or available.

What's going on and how do I fix this?

Sounds like the update might already be downloaded. Check the storage on the phone and see if it's there and delete it if it is.

Yep! Checked the storage and it was downloaded. Deleted it and now it tells me I have the latest version (10.0.2).

Weird how it even got on there in the first place though since I never had a beta profile on this phone (though did on my 6S plus but I deleted it there before backing up too).

Perhaps it was automatically downloaded on the 6s Plus and was included in the backup somehow?

I doubt it since after my phone was set up I did an update to 10.0.2 and I don't think beta 2 was even available at that time anyway.

My guess is some sort of glitch on Apples end.

Oh well, glad the issue is resolved without a full restore. Those are such a pain!
