Beta test app = Beta test OS?

I've been beta testing some apps recently and I am wondering if by adding me to their app beta test, am I added to the OS beta as well?

Are you testing apps for Apple? If not, I wouldn't see why you would get the OS.

No. I was wondering if it was the same pool as adding someone to the OS test as was popular in 3.0.
