Hello all, first post for me.

Problem I have and hope someone knows how to fix.

I downloaded the Mac OS Sierra 10.12.4 beta software on my late 2016 MacBook Pro 15 inch laptop, and I can't get it to boot.

Anyone else have this problem, and know how to fix?

I had no issues. The upgrade process went through several phases. I suspect you need to run the installer again. Revert to your backup and try to reinstall.

If you "forgot" to have a current backup of your system, you can also boot to your recovery system, and reinstall OS X from there.
(Restart, holding Command-R, then choose Reinstall OS X from the menu. Easy-peasy :D )

Thanks so much for your suggestions! I did reinstall my backup, and tried to upgrade the same beta version, but the same results???

What do you mean load the Mac OS? Won't I lose all?

Sorry for the ignorance on my end!

Well, I reinstalled MAC OS, then attempted to download the current beta update for the third time and it failed again!

I don't even know what to do anymore. Currently accepting suggestions...

    Thanks!

One suggestion - forget betas. :D Stay with what works.

Suggestion #2 (if you want to try the beta again) Be patient, the install might appear to stall out at times, just wait it out (give it a a couple of hours, if you need to. Just keep your hands off until it finishes. You will know when it completes, when you see the screen that asks if you want to send beta reports to third-party developers (or something like that!)

Thanks DeltaMac. Every time it gets to a point where several lines of text (it looks like code) are displayed, but it disappears before I can read it. The grey apple is on the screen and the status bar is about 75% finished and that's it. It tries to proceed a couple of times and then disappears.

    Very confused and disappointed!

Did you try shutting your MBPro power off (press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds), then press and release the power button? Does it boot after you do that power-cycle?

Be sure to give the install process enough time. If you see ANYTHING on the screen, try waiting for 30 minutes before you do anything.

Honestly, if you are having these kind of problems, you need to stay away from betas. They are not made for newbies.

I did do the power cycle steps. Strange thing, when I try the upgrade, everything goes as it should. Appears like everything is working, the usual prompts, etc. Then it gets to a point where the bar gets to about 75%, and then the text appears on the left (looks like code, but it runs too fast to read) this repeats about 3 times or so. Then I get a circle with a line through it, very weird!!! After a while it just goes blank.

I will try one more time. I've been using the beta software for several months. No idea why this one won't install. If this one doesn't work, I will wait for the nest and try that one.

I'm trying to think of what changed, or what I could be doing wrong, but it's pretty straight forward so I'm just stumped why it's doing the same thing...

Thanks to all for your patience and kind suggestions.
