Wow... I've gotten MUCH better battery life since the newest update. I noticed a bit of a quicker battery drain after the iOS 4 update. Before I was down to 93% after watching a 45 minute video on a full battery. The last few days that I noticed that I was still at 100% after 45 min. This was how my iPad was when I first gotten it last year and all the way until the iOS4 update! Whoo hoo!

🙂

I heard about this before, are you talking about a iPad 2? Would this pertain to the iPad 1 as well?

My fault missed the part you had it a year that's great to know. Looking to purchase one in the next few days.

No. It's the placebo effect.

umm no it's not... I watch videos nearly daily... and I've owned my iPad ever since release day last April. Ever since iOS4 I would go through at very best 6% on a 43 min episode. For the last 2 days It's been at 100% from a full charge after a 42 min show. After it drops down to 99 though it drops a little quicker but it was down to about 94% after an hour and twenty odd minutes (two "hour long" episodes) of movie watching.

It's back to how it was before. There is no placebo effect... but I know for a fact it was like this before iOS4 and now after 3 updates it's back to the way it was. Brightness was at about 60-70%.

my ipad 2 gets even worse battery life since it was updated to 4.3.2 (before 10hours, after: 7hours only of web browsing) 🙁

Hmm... I haven't used it much for Web browsing since. Just video... I should take a look at that... I just noticed the last 2 days.

kind of strange but when i watch online videos (using VEVO HD) it takes about 2% for a 15mins vid, but with web browsing, it's about 1% for 5 mins :|
