...or better journalists?

4 out of 5 of the last MR articles have been edited post-publishing.

Four out of five (two each by two journalists).

Not one of those articles acknowledges what has been updated or why. It's a pretty lousy way to treat readers who get hounded for not reading something that wasn't there, no? This isn't the first time I've seen it, either.

@arn a bit of oversight/discussion among yourselves on how best to overcome this would be appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree it can be frustrating and will try to do better but small edits are likely to happen over time.

Due to the fast paced nature of “blogging”, articles are often amended and tweaked. We don’t post updates for most corrections unless they are major changes to the story.

But reader corrections are welcome, and can be mentioned in the comments or via direct email.

Thanks for the reply. There was one article recently where the title was misleading, and many people fed back in the comments about it. On that occasion the author was involved in discussion about it in the forum. It means that people who see feedback/corrections in the comments can understand the context a lot more, reducing negativity.

It would actually be nice to see more community involvement across the writing team, rather than what sometimes seems to be a race to publish before other tech sites followed by a celebratory powering down of the macbook.

For small in article edits. Have you considered having them show up in bold, italics or another color? Just to let people be aware there's been an edit.

Perhaps an asterisked footnote appended at the end if an edits done. Saying something like "Text in "red" are edits made after the original publication".
