Better random selection in iTunes 8

Has anyone else noticed that iTunes 8, when set on random, seems to choose from your whole library instead of just a subset of songs? In all prior versions it seemed like I would hear the same few hundred songs over and over, but in 8 I've heard things that I haven't heard in years! Has anyone else experienced that or is it just me? 🙂
