My AirPods Max just did a very loud burst. It must be a bug related to automatically switching between devices because it happened when I picked up my iPad Pro.

Luckly the AirPods Max was not on my head when it did the loud burst.

The fact that I heard the AirdPods Max while I was watching a movie in the living room, means it must have been very loud.

Btw, is there a way to prevent the AirPod Max switching between devices all the time. Because this is not cool.

Same sound here. Didn’t feel like it damaged my ears (mine can tolerate some loud noises, not too sensitive but am careful in general) but was unpleasant. Was on my ears.

For some soundtracks the Maxes didn’t react well to the soundtrack, especially with low quality audio

overall still happy with mine but definitely some kinks to work out

Bluetooth settings -> AirPods Max -> Change connect automatically to when last connected.
