I’ll spare you the day-to-day details, but I wanted to offer that re-applying (while I was waiting for a final black mark to drop off my reports) didn’t do me any favors. The third time I applied, my offered credit was cut in half, with no change in my record to account for it. After that, I was asked to supply my photo ID, (which I hadn’t had to do previously). In the end, getting the black mark removed made no difference and definitely didn’t return me to the original offer.

I applied one additional time to see what they said my FICO 9 score, and was rejected outright, with the notice:
  • You have applied a number of times so we cannot verify the information you have provided at this time
So, yeah. Don’t reapply for laughs unless you’re sure it’ll benefit you. I called the support number provided and was told I could try again in 30 days.

Yep – that’s what myself and some others on here have received. I recommended to them that they should update their support document to read that if you apply “X” times you’ll get locked out for 30 days, and that it’s misleading to tell consumers they can try as many times as they want (even if say your credit score improves in under 30 days). They gave me the apple.com/feedback link to use to recommend.
