I did the upgrade program for a silver 6s. They ran my credit got approved blah blah. Returned it yesterday for a black one and they re ran my credit. Checked my report and it shows two hard credit checks.

Just warning others bc I know people are exchanging to get the chip and stuff.

True. Only way around them, is the carrier finance program. Which to my understanding they don't do hard credit inquires.

There is one other way, I saved up and paid for mine. I know I could have got a subsidy from AtT but swore I would never preorder from them again when a new phone is introduced. Well worth the money to me.

I can relate with you. Im getting the Sim Free model this year at full retail. I might do AT&T's NEXT program for the iPhone 7 release, or just do the Sim Free again.

Getting another credit check for a faulty exchange sounds ludicrous. What happens if you fail the second check, no phone?? Stupid.
