I wasn’t planning on upgrading my iPhone 16 this year, but since a coworker wants to buy mine, I’m actually getting excited for the 17. Depending on what Apple reveals, I might even upgrade my Ultra too.

Bro, have you ever even used an Apple TV?

I have had them since the original ATV, I now have 4 so you, I have used them.

It is a device that 99% of the time is hidden in a cabinet or behind a TV.

I've seen plenty that are not hidden, but if teh add a camera then there is a reason not to hide them; although you still can if you want.

There is no use case for a camera whatsoever.

Sure. You now have a camera that can show a wider angle of view, allowing more people to be in the frame, as well as the potential for a security camera.

If Apple makes the camera avaiable to other apps it becomes even more useful. Properly setup, it could be a good way to do online learning; you could have a monitor behind the ATV to see what the students see.

FaceTime is already handled in a much better way by pairing with an iPhone.

Depends on how you use it. Not having to hold the phone or pass it back and forh would be an improement for some use cases.

I’m looking fwd to the Apple TV only because I need a new streamer, my TCL TV is very laggy. Outside of that, none of this stuff is inspiring whatsoever. Samsung and Google are running circles around Apple in innovation.

Most devices in the list will be getting a minor update only. Other than the 17 Pro Max, not planning on getting these devices. Very satisfied with my recently purchased M4 iPad Pro. Waiting to see the new color choices with the watch this year. Will be keeping my Series 10 and is more than enough for me.

I’ll probably get the 17 Air and giving my 16 Plus to my mom. Would love a Vision Pro but the price is just way too high still. If they come out with a lower priced one I can justify it. I used one at a store and it was amazing. But I’m waiting for them to make a lighter model that’s more comfortable for longer periods of time. Would be really great if they came out with a system that let you do accept HDMI in for it so you could use it with a gaming console.

FaceTime on the Apple TV I suspect could work if they put on a really wide lens that can see a whole room give it a large sensor so it can crop out out people who aren’t the focus. Would also be great if they also allowed camera sharing back to a Mac it could let you use it in certain contexts for presentations etc.

Though unless the sensors are cheap I can’t see them not having a lower end model without a camera.

Would definitely buy a new HomePod mini if they release one with Apple intelligence support. Especially if it can help other HomePods locally.

Also would really love to see them integrate an Apple TV and HomePod together. To me that just seems like a no brainer.
