Too bad, it’s too expensive anyways…there s no new Vision Pro till next year
I use a Google TV 4k, it's pretty old now but works perfectly - what's better about an Apple TV?Never owned an Apple TV before. Super tempted
You’re not spending TV processing power. A separate device is always better allowing all of the TVs processing power to handle the image.I use a Google TV 4k, it's pretty old now but works perfectly - what's better about an Apple TV?
It needs to be updated because it needs to be updated. Charging $3500 for something with an M2 chip in 2025 is ridiculous. Plus this is a brand new platform with a ton of space to grow. The more power the better. It’s not a product that has peaked like an iPhone or an Apple Watch.I’m having a hard time imagining what an M4 or M5 Vision Pro that doesn’t change anything else would be useful for. Any features taking advantage of it would be leaving out the existing install base, so they’d have to be inessential nice-to-haves that wouldn’t be worth upgrading for and wouldn’t address the shortcomings keeping new users away.
Edit: I guess some sort of enterprise usage that seems to have caught on? Could be there’s some applications on that front that could take advantage of it, but I have a hard time imagining anything on the consumer side that would target a fraction of an already small user base and not piss existing users off.
