Hello,

I was just looking at my watch and noticed that there appeared to be some debris between the screen and the bezel/body of the watch. In an attempt to see if I could clean it out, I was able to slide a piece of paper into the gap and indeed clear some of the dust or whatever it was. I also noticed the paper fairly easily slid into this gap along with bottom of the watch. The gap is larger at the bottom than around the sides and top. I also noticed that it appeared that the paper was even able to slide a tiny bit under the screen.

I am assuming that some gap is possibly normal within certain tolerances, and that it shouldn't likely be an issue. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

Thanks

it would help if you let us know what watch model this is and also post a photo.
I for one have not seen this issue on any of the 4 watches I've owned

Yeah, sorry. Series 7. 45mm. Gap small enough that it really isn’t even visible in a picture.

I was always able to slip a sheet of paper into the gap to clean out the dust on all my Apple Watches, S4,5,6,7. I stopped doing that and just run it under water instead. Didn’t want to introduce small paper fibers into the gap.

That’s probably why I’ve never noticed dust - I shower with my watch on every day ?

But I would certainly agree with the paper fibers.

cool, that's very good to know, thank you. i think it's possibly just the way they are made. won't worry about it too much.

Yeah you’ll be fine. I swim with it and everything. The metal casing probably needs some room for thermal expansion also.
