BGR Unboxing the 3G iPhone

I appreciate seeing these shots but it amazes me that those who have taken them haven't taken a picture of the old and new face to face (maybe a microfiber cloth between to protect the displays) looking at the tops or bottoms. I think it would be a perfect way to see just how different the shape of the new one is. Am I the only one interested in seeing this?

I don't know why so many people are complaining, that phone is sexy! sure it will get fingerprints, but i got an invisible shield for the back to try to prevent that. I've never owned an invisible shield, does anyone know how well it prevents fingerprints (or doesn't).
Anyone else notice that they added a little pic into the box for the sim tray?
I didn't notice it at first until I was just scanning thru the BGR pics on gizmodo (great quality). Anyways, in the pic of the open box, no iPhone... To the right is the box with earplugs, USB cable etc and on the left is the little insert that unfolds and has all the papers in it. Well you can see a little pic and next to that is a pic of it opening the sim tray.

so looking at these comparison pics, the iPhone 3G is clearly wider than orig iPhone.. you can tell by the black border around the screen..
also, the camera at the back, the iPhone 3G's camera hole seems bigger... what difference would this make to picture quality? any?

The more I look at the side-by-side pics...
While I do think the iPhone 3G might be a hair wider it also seems to me that there is less of the chrome bezel to maybe thats why there's more black on the edged of the screen? I could very well be wrong, it just really looks like the shaved off a little bit of the chrome around the screen.

I really hope so.
2MegaPixels is PLENTY on a cell phone camera, the thing that needs improvement is the lens. If they upgraded the lens for the camera I would be very happy.
...not that I'm not already spazming with delightful excitement for this thing!!!!
