Ok, so I got a new macbook pro yesterday (15.4 inch, 2.53 GHz, so beautiful!, haha), and wanted to get my itunes library from my PC on it. My computers are on a network, so I went to File>Export Library on my PC and exported it to the shared folder. So then on my Macbook, I held option down while opening iTunes to select a library, and selected the .itl file that I had taken from the shared folder. Now, in iTunes, it says the name of all of my songs, but it has the exclamation point in front of the songs and when I click it says the song could not be found because the original location could not be found. Also, the songs are completely deleted from the iTunes on my PC. Somebody help! I won't be able to go to sleep until I fix this, haha

Did you physically delete the songs off the PC? Or did you run the export wizard and find them gone afterwards?

There's no need to use export at all. If you just copy over the whole iTunes folder it works fine.
