I jailbreaked my new Iphone 5 via instructions.

Now i think i forgot something because all was great, did a backup and jailbreaked phone. Installed Appcake and such with Cydia.

But than i pluggen it in my computer and iTunes didnt recognize it! I read something in the instructions about a restore, so i did that.

But i get an error 21 message in Itunes and wont restore! I also put it in recovery mode, but i cant restore! Error 1600...

Please help me what can i do! I dont mind starting from scratch. From this point i just want a working phone..

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Yea i tried recovery/DFU mode. In DFU it had a black screen and i get the same Itunes restore screen. Only in this mode i also get an error. 1600!

Isn't Appcake a piracy source? Does it download Appsync? I know there were problems with the jailbreak when Appsync was installed. My advice is to uninstall Appcake and see if it helps. If it does leave it off and pay for your apps. Support the devs!

Check your host file, it might still be pointing to Cydia, it needs to point to apple.

Try again putting it in DFU and restore.

This happened to me once, when I jailbroke on 5.1 I believe.

Dang it. What the heck did I do? I honestly can't remember how I fixed it.

This is the threadstarter's issue.
It was widely advised that installation of the piracy apps would block iTunes ability to see the iPhone since all the evad3rs are strongly against piracy.

It is the perfect solution to offer the jailbreak but prohibit those who pirate apps from using the jailbreak to do so.
+10 to evad3rs

I did not know that.
