Lately my safari browser has been freaking out on me. Several strange things have been happening, like when I use the google search bar in one tab, instead of loading google in that tab, the search takes place in the first tab on my bar. I usually like to keep my tabs open if I have something important so its very annoying that I have to go to that tab then go back to the webpage I originally had up. Another issue that happens, usually at the same time my tabs are screwing up, is that the back button doesnt even work, its just greyed out as if I didnt have anything open before that page. A lot of times, but not always, when this happens after a while safari will shut down and i get that "Safari has quit unexpectedly" error. Any ideas why this is happening? I tried google searching and searching these forums but couldnt find anything related.

Also one thing I forgot is that the top sites tab only works in the first tab open and not in any other tabs

Have you tried resetting Safari yet?

And just out of curiosity, what Safari version do you use on what Mac OS X version?
