Ever since I updated to Big Sur, (2017 Macbook 512/8), if I leave it shut off for two or more weeks, when I go to turn it on the battery is at 0%

This behavior began immediately after updating, never happened before, I used to boot back up after several weeks with at most 2-3% battery loss.

I just updated yesterday 11.0--->11.2 and probably will not need to turn it on again for at least two weeks, I'll post results unless someone knows a workaround or that it has been fixed.

Is this a known issue? Has it been fixed in the .2 update?

to maybe answer my own question, i found this

which down at the bottom of the article suggests that 11.2 does indeed make the problem go away.

sucks i can't really turn things completely off anymore

Well I turned the Macbook back on after 24hrs just to look and it's still at 100% so I guess it's fixed.
