Downloading it right now, let's see if this update resolves the issue related to Bluetooth, Wifi and External display. There are a few glitches in Safari, but those are bearable.

Any info what’s new or fixed?

Airpods Max
Rosetta 2 fixes as mentioned
Miscellaneous fixes for UI
Fix LG Ultrafine 5K getting stuck at 4K
iPhone/iPad apps can now scale in fullscreen mode and can be changed from portrait <> landscape.
Proper recovery mode for M1 and can dual boot with 11.0.1

P.S.: TL;DR for those who are hesitating: this is the update that should have come along with all M1 Macs.

A few things are working now, my Logitech k850 keyboard and Logitech M720 triathlon mouse are connected via bluetooth. I don't see any glitches in display (connected via USB-C), but it's too early to call out on the performance of the display. I don't know if it's just me but Safari feels somewhat snappier. We will know as the time goes by.

P.S.: Rosetta 2 also feels a tidbit faster than before. I did install Unreal Tournament via EPIC launcher, I will check it out tomorrow as it's quite late in the night right now in India (01:45 AM). Time to go to sleep.

Thanks! The update for the iPhone/iPad apps is HUGE!

Installing the update now!

Installed it here things seem good, fingers crossed the weird lockups I was getting are resolved.

Was weird on mine. Updated it and everything was horrifically slow. Almost slow motion opening of windows etc, tried rebooting and the usual stuff.

In the end wiped it. Can say it works fine now wiping M1 Macs. Took an hour all in. Even now when its indexing photos etc its still quicker than before.

Updated by MBP 13. They haven't fixed the Bluetooth and WiFi issues. Also my HDMI monitor still randomly drops out for a couple seconds. Luckily those HDMI dropouts don't happen too often to seriously annoy me.

Installed 11.1 on an M1 MBA 8/512. It fixed a particularly irksome bug that manifested itself when I was playing StartCraft II fullscreen on an external monitor where SC2 is running at a lower resolution than what I have my external monitor Desktop set to. When I switched back to my desktop screen on the external monitor while I was playing a game, the dock would place itself in the middle bottom-third of the screen, as if it were misinterpreting the resolution. For instance, normal desktop set to 2560x1440, SC2 running at 1920x1080. A task switch between the two would result in a somewhat scrambled desktop with the dock sitting in an odd location. Now, everything works fine. Good job Rosetta 2. Also, these M1 macs switch between fullscreen games and the desktop much more quickly than my Intel macbook. The intel macbook as a sort of delay that blanks the screen before making the switch. The M1 has no delay.

How are you connecting to your monitor? I ended up switching my monitor to use DisplayPort through my CalDigit TS3+ and there have been no further issues.

I have been trying to update my MBP M1 8/256 all afternoon. I have tried the update about 10 times now. Each time just as it finishes the download I get and error saying the update failed. I am connected via ethernet. Anyone else see this and have a workaround?

My order updated from processing to preparing to ship. Ordered 2020-12-06 and delivery estimate says 2021-01-04. Hope it comes a lil early! My first Mac...have grown up on Windows and have literally NEVER spent more than 2 minutes on Mac... so a couple more days to get accustomed would be great.

Finally updated, and password wouldn't work to log in. Called Apple and went through detailed reset up and finally was able to log in. Can log in with password, but fingerprint login no longer works. Would recommend waiting to upgrade to 11.1
