Hello everybody !

I have been encountering this issue without being able to pin down the rationale behind it for 2 weeks:

Initially encountering small freezes when adjusting the volume on my keyboard I initally assumed that this was a bluetooth issue but I recently noticed that the issue would replicate when adjusting volume with my touch bar.

To my despair I also noticed that the problem replicates when adjusting brightness.

BUT, when adjusting those settings in software. Nothing happens.

Does anyone have pointers towards resolving this issue, faulty drivers conflicting with the software implementation of those commands in Big Sur ?

To note, I do not remember encountering those problems with the previous version.

The best of the weeks to everyone !

Yes! I'm having the same issue. Thought it was some of the plugins I was using, but after uninstalling/disabling all of them, the issue persists. Concluded that it is the OS update.

I'm having the same issue.

Thank you for the notice, the issue has not appeared again on my computer again since the update,

But I did take up the habit of shutting it down every night.

The problem just took longer to show up for me with 11.5.2 but 11.5.2 still doesn't fix this. I never shutdown my machine it's up all the time, I'm a developer and one it all the time. But as other said if I reboot the problem goes away for a while.

Restting the NVRAM did not fix it for me. I opened a ticket with apple support and they say it's a problem they have been working on with the video driver and have a fix coming, they said they would get back to me this next week.
