I can get my user time zone correct and it Displays the correct time for me on the Desktop.
But the LOGIN screen has the wrong time zone and I can't seem to find where to set the time zone when at the LOGIN screen?

Please report this via the Feedback Assistant within MacOS, I have reported this bug since release and it isn't fixed in the most current beta either. The more people who report it, the quicker it will be fixed.

Regards

It's likly a bug in the localisation, like an easy cosmetic fix... hopefully.

Same problem here.
Can you add credit cards to Wallet? I can't and maybe it's related to this time problem, I don't know.

Suffering from this bug too. Fingers crossed it's fixed in 11.2. I'm in the UK but it's showing California time on the login screen.

I'm in USA EST on 11.1 and I see the correct time in the after-restart login screen, after clicking on my username login screen, and the wake-from-sleep login screen. Does this happen all the time or after it's been asleep for more than an hour?

This seemed to fix itself but with 11.2 RC3 (which I now believe is 11.2 final) the bug is back again. Anyone else?

Got the weirdest and un-ideal fix for this from Apple support just a few moments ago: Turned off Filevault and shut down for 90 secs. It worked for me. I'm updated to 11.2

Weird. So you tun off Filevault, shut down, wait 90 seconds, turn back on and then turn Filevault back on?

Or is Filevault being turned off permanently needed?

I'll answer my own question on this. Filevault needs to be turned off permanently for this to fix the issue. Re-enabling Filevault brings the problem back again.

I don't know if the 90 seconds thing is an absolute requirement (just really followed support here but also because I think that "resets" the M1's SMC, if such really exists).

and I also noticed, this also "fixed" the connection to my bluetooth keyboard while in the login screen. My BT keyboard used to connect only when I get past the login screen. I also already see the WiFi icon in the login screen after this.

So there's the trade-off. Ended up turning on filevault and just waiting for the REAL fix which unfortunately, is not in 11.2 apparently. Annoying for a great piece of hardware M1 is.

Which is annoying - as this was definitely fixed in RC1, but somewhere along the line has broken again.

This is now fixed again in 11.3 Beta 1

EDIT: Actually fixed on first boot but on subsequent reboots the problem remains.
