Is it possible to install Big Sur on a 2021 M1Pro although it came with Monterey installed? Could I create a bootable USB stick for Big Sur installation?

Probably not advisable due to possible missing hardware drivers etc. Why would you need this?

I'm having problems with an application that's crucial to my in-home business. It runs smoothly in my iMac with Big Sur. However, it's buggy when I try to run it in MBP M1 Pro that came with Monterey pre-installed. If I could install Big Sur I could see if the problem is the macOS version or the M1 Pro. Wiping the machine is no problem because it's just a few days old and it was setup as new. I could easily re-install the few apps that I installed.

If M1 2020 MacBooks run Big Sur, why can't the 2021 M1 MacBooks do the same?

It is almost always impossible, and at the very least difficult and unsupported, to install an earlier OS.

What you could do is run Big Sur virtualized in Parallels and run the app you need there.

Here's a guide:
Have problems installing Big Sur VM. The problem might be the fact that I have Paralles 17 and the instructions are for Paralles 16. I can't seem to locate instructions for Paralles 17.
