Big Sur - Parallels

Has anybody tried Parallels 16 on a Mac Pro 5,1 (unsupported by Big Sur?)
VMware Tech Preview does not work on the older Xeons due to lack of certain HyperVisor functionality.

--> Just tried. Works after install KEXT and rebooting.

Parallels Tools works now with Parallels 16 but the graphics is still only reporting a 3Mb card and there's no way to change the resolution from 1024x768.

Strange. My resolution changes as I scale the VM window. I have zero problems with Parallels 16 and Big Sur.

i tried both Virtual Box and Parallels 16 today and it always gets stuck forever at the same point and does not move further.

... if it would give me an error message at least

edit: ok now I left the MacBook on over night and as I woke up (7 hours later) it was at the set up screen 👍🏼 However I feel like it wasn’t the best idea to install it on an external drive cuz everything seems to be super slow
