Biggest blunder-help

ive posted this before but didnt get much help....i installed win7 via bootcamp on my white macbook 2010.I had both operating systems working well till i formatted the 'mac' partition.here is the prooblem,i cant reinstall snow leopard because i keep getting this message instructing me to shut don and resart.i heard its called a kernel panick.i have the original snow leopard install disc and it worked on my friends' mac.can i my mac still work with mac os or do i need a new hdd?help
