Biggest City Without An Apple Store

At least the Best Buy there in Lubbock now has an "Apple Shop" in it with an Apple consultant on site. I know it's nothing like a real Apple Store, but it sure beats nothing, especially now that the CompUSA out there is gone.
There aren't ANY in Australia at all. Melbourne, where I live, has a population of nearly 4 million and Sydney about 4.3 million...I think we deserve at least one in each of these cities!
Louisville (and Kentucky in general) got an Apple Store not too long ago. I don't know why Lexington doesn't have one yet, being the "commercial center" of Kentucky.
That made me laugh out loud. Truth be told, I usually opt for Minneapolis, even though it's further away. Shhh!

Tell me about it! I had to drive eight hours to Portland, Oregon to buy my PowerMac a few years ago. Of course it was a fun road trip and Oregon doesn't have sales tax, but it's still ridiculous.
Now the closest store is Salt Lake City, Utah but that's still a five or six hour drive.
Boise deserves a Store! We have a metro area of over half a million, we house the headquarters of Micron and HP's Printer Division, and we have one of the most dynamic Universities in the West!
And now that CompUSA has closed it's doors we're left with a very shoddy Apple Reseller and Best Buy!
Come on Apple, make my prediction of a Store announcement in 2008 come true!
St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador - It only has a metro population of ~180,000 but there are no Apple Stores even within Newfoundland and there are loads of surrounding communities.
Yes, technically true, but Estero is nestled between Ft. Myers (to the north) and Naples (to the south). I believe that is the largest growth area of all of Florida the past five or so years? So, yes, the store is in a tiny little hamlet, that OBTW also happens to be a bedroom community for two large (and growing larger!) cities.
We don't have an Apple Store in my entire state.
The Omaha
store is one of the newest (being brand new, I think it had the worst sales figures in the US for last year, IIRC). It went into a new, very trendy shopping area. There is also an store in West Des Moines, IA (2+ hours east) and one in Kansas City, MO (3+ hours south). There is actually plenty of disposable income in that area... I'm actually surprised that Lincoln doesn't have one yet.

I remain surprised that Vancouver, BC, doesn't have one. I'm also surprised that the one in Montreal is *not* downtown.
On the other hand, I live midway between two of the Apple Stores in Toronto, and I remain puzzled about why they chose to put one of them in Sherway Gardens mall rather than Square One mall, which is much larger and more of a destinartion.

Apparently we (Vancouver) are getting one late Summer.
Also apparently, Calgary was going to get one, and when Apple's architects viewed the premises, they said (amongst other things) "we'll need that pillar taken down, this wall moved and that post taken down" to which the owners replied "we can't do those things, they're structural" and Apple said, "ok, fair enough" and left, never to return.
But Vancouver is supposed to get one in the Pacific Centre mall in the downtown core.

At school, there are 3 Apple stores within 2 hours of my apartment. For quick purchases, I can visit Best Buy which is 10 minutes away.
I love my location.

I'm guessing you live within 2 hours or Orlando probably, because there's like 2-3 in Orlando alone.
Anyhow, I live in Florida and the closest Apple store is in Orlando. Hours away >.> There's Best Buy about 40 minutes from my house, but totally not as amazing as an Apple store.
I always thought it was odd that Apple has never opened a store in Santa Barbara, CA. The metro area is around 400,000 people, very affluent, home to a major university, and it's a tourist mecca besides. The demographics of this place would seem to have "Apple" written all over it -- but apparently Apple doesn't think so.

And I think Istanbul only has about 10 million people. Shanghai has the highest population at 13 million. Not sure if there is an Apple Store there.
Mumbai has a slightly higher population than Shanghai at 13.6 million. No Apple Store there either

OK not 10 but 11.372.000 according to wikipedia. And in a documentary I've watched they said 12m.
