Bill Gates' Teeth up close...

Nothing wrong with his teeth. You know, I'm about his age, so I look at it from a different perspective. For Christmas I asked my wife for one of those UV teeth whiteners.
Getting old is NOT fun, and we don't need farts like you pointing out anything age related. This WILL be you one day. If you were here you wouldn't even HAVE teeth after about 10 seconds.

This is a bit incorrect.

As for personal hygene and casual conversations this is very true.

However, in the early days BG would personally review each line of code for all products. And he would personally rewrite code that was not up to his standard. This sounds like a perfectionist to me.

BTW, BG review of software ended around the early 90s timeframe because there was simply too much for him to review. But he still stayed very involved and would beat up programmers who were not up to speed.

Sound familiar? In many ways, BG and SJ are not much different.

To me, the big difference between Microsoft and Apple can be easily explained if you look at their vision statements.

BG wanted to have a PC on everybody's desk running his OS.

SJ wanted to build the best OS possible.

IMHO, they both have succeeded wonderfully.

Having said all that, it is refreshing to see that Apple has changed their vision it seems in that they are trying to be more standard with the industry vice being on their own which is increasing their market percentage.

As for the teeth, you youngsters might not want to be so critical until you are his age. BG is almost three times as old as the original poster. It ain't easy being/getting old! 🙂

I think we have to remember that at their cores, Steve and Billy are computer geeks that probably don't care all that much about their appearance. Though you would think with all that money they could have a bit of a makeover.

hmmm, maybe they need those guys from queer eye for the straight (or computer geeky in this case) guy? Though that could turn out in disaster as well...

Steve has said that he wears those jeans and black turtlenecks because he thinks figuring out what to wear every morning is a waste of time. So it's deliberate. Bill OTOH dresses like he got lost in the menswear department at JC Penny's and never found his way out. But that hair! I swear, Bill's never had a decent haircut in his entire life. Somebody has to cut it. I've always wondered whether he does it himself, in the mirror.

Agreed that isn't the best photo of Bill Gates. For those of us who do drink a lot of coffee, it requires a lot of extra brushing, and it is bad enough that I drink a lot of soda, too. But even with a lot of brushing, sometimes after awhile I suppose it isn't enough. If Bill Gates was a model, I would expect him to spend his money to get the best smile ever, but he is a business man (I don't consider him a real geek) and so I really don't care what his teeth look like.

Anybody can, but if they're not super-rich, they're called "slobs."

Gates could come out on stage with his fly open and his shirt-tail hanging out and a lot of people would excuse it as a charming eccentricity, instead of a commentary on his poor personal habits. Gates has always been notoriously careless about his appearance and personal grooming. Rich or otherwise, he's a slob.
