I have a IPAD2 wifi and every time it gets an email it bings at me. HOW TO SHUT that off? I do not want to shut down the IPAD everytime. The cover shuts it but not off but to sleep so it is instant on. what do I do to shut the alert off????

Thanks so much. OMG i have no idea how that got going but kept doing it through the night etc and I could not figure that sensible fix. Not sure I saw sounds, I was looking for something tied to emails I guess.

Now if I could find a way of getting 3G or 4G on my Ipad from aftermarket program I would just faint!! I did not realize how important 3G model would have been, do not want to sell this one but may.

Do you have a smartphone? If you do you can create a portable hotspot with it.
If not look into a myfi from your favorite carrier.
