Hi Everyone,

So last night my husband wanted to show me something on his mac mini and when the lock screen popped up, we saw this weird binocular icon on the top right of the screen. ( I'll put a picture here, if I don't forget). After a few seconds it disappeared.. He never had that before, it was the first time we both saw this.

Does anybody know what the Binoculars mean? Is it something we have to worry about?

Thanks a lot in advance. :)

Thanks. We already come across that article, but my husband does not use the app Slack (never has) and the screen sharing option in the share settings was turned off too.

It is always helpful to include what you have already done or discovered when asking for help.

Not sure what Slack has to do with it though, as Slack is not mentioned in the linked article.

Is the icon still there? Did you search for a screen recording? I don’t now where it would have been saved, so I can’t help you there.

I take it you didn't read the comments on the article, a whole bunch of folks reported it was Slack that caused it.
