My mom has a net covering a Red Currant bush in our backyard. We got home from shopping about an hour ago... to see (and hear) a bird caught in the net.

Wings, head and legs...everything was tangled. I did my best to cut him/her loose, but about 5cms of net remain around its legs... which I can't get to. He hopped/flapped vigorously out of my hands, and behind another bush/tree.
I tried to gently grab him but he got away... and now I can not find him.

When we came home, there was also another bird, which I'm assuming was his mate, screeching from our roof. It has, since I can not find him, stopped and flown away... so I'm assuming the lil' fella also flew away and they're back together now.

It's pouring rain now... and I really hope he got out ok.
Once it stops raining, I'm going to go out again and check for any sign of him.
