They are rather striking. These are by far the most common gulls here.

Here is a Pelican swallowing a fish.
Belted Kingfisher - I believe this is a female and I found out that male kingfishers stay year round where the female migrates further south for the winter. See long distance relationships can work. 🤣
I haven't captured many birds this last month or so.... Maybe it's just the summer heat.
I read on one of my birding forums that birds are nesting and don't go too far from the nest.
