I received my black Leather Loop Band the other day (got the Black Sports band with the Watch originally) and I must say I am a bit disappointed in the way it feels when wearing it. No complaints about the look or construction of it, just feel that when I have on the Sports band, the Watch feels much more comfortable. Don't know why - possibly because the side of the band facing my wrist has that same bumpy texture of the side you see. I like the idea that the band can be made as loose or as tight as you wish, but if it is too tight it leaves marks in my wrist and too loose it loses contact and the Watch locks.
Anyone have one of the Leather Loop bands and want to comment on how it feels to wear it?

I have the BLL and it seems pretty comfortable. I like the adjustability. It does leave marks, but I haven't had any problems with it loosening or losing contact and locking.

The leather loop was my second favourite band when I tried it on at the Apple Store. I thought it looked great and was pretty comfortable, however, I only wore it for a few minutes.

I ended up getting the Stainless Steel Link Bracelet and a Black Sport Band but my next band would definitely have been the leather loop.

Shame you don't like it, but that's the beauty of Apple's return policy.

I picked up a Loop yesterday, and so far I'm blown away! I started with a sport band and the difference is night and day. I find the loop to be infinitely more comfortable than sport bands.

I guess it's not for everyone. Just my two cents. :)

Mine is very comfortable. My only problem with it is that I have to keep tightening it often. The sports band wasn't all that comfortable for daily use but it is nice during workouts. I purchased a Milanese loop to see if it holds tighter longer.

I don't have the leather loop but for the duration of both times I did a try on I loved it.
Maybe it's just the size or shape of my wrist but it fit perfect.
I want one bad but 150$ for a watch I don't even have yet seemed a bit crazy.
By the time mine arrives in June I'm sure I'll be able to go to the store & pick one up if need be.

Do you have pics of it?

I had originally planned on getting the leather loop for my back up to my sport band for my SS watch. After my try on appointment though I ended up changing my mind and am leaning more toward the classic buckle.

My main problem with the loop was that I didn't feel like it was high enough quality to justify the $150 price tag.

Wanted the leather loop originally also for the infinite adjustability and the leather but couldn't get over the look. The milanese was definitely much better looking IMO and doesn't leave any marks.

Thanks for the comments. Still have not decided (I did not want any of the metal bands yet - have had too many). Probably try wearing it a few more days to work and see. Want to check out the Classic Buckle - if our local Apple store gets them in PREFERABLY before my 14 day return of the Leather Loop is up.

I'm probably going to return my blue leather loop. I do find it quite comfortable but to me it makes more noise than a metal link band. And the false taptic sensations are annoying. For $150 plus tax I better love the band, and I don't think I do.

I love the look of the blue leather loop with the SG Sport. After the black metal link, it is my favorite look for the SG Sport. And I've been debating to get one as my only "high price" band.

But based on some of the feedback, I think I'll hold off a bit longer.

-$150 is a lot of money for a little product. Yes, I know R&D and all, but still there are some amazing leather watch bands out there at half that price.
-I don't like the silver trim at the loop area with the SG watch. I know hardly anyone would notice, but nothing else on the watch is silver.
-Some are reporting the lugs not fitting absolutely flush with the watch. Some debate if a defect, or not. But not being "perfect" at that price...gives me pause
-The noise issue is well reported.
-Some have reported difficulty in finding a "sweet spot" adjustment point

I'd probably still get one without hesitation at half the selling price (or less). But at that price....I'll keep an eye on it. And see. I like the look of the black, but since I already have SBB and there are a ton of 3rd party black, leather, rubber, plastic, metal bands, I'd be hesitant to get the black.

I got a blue leather loop today and was ready for all the comments above to be true and after about an hour, had really no problems with the band. It is quiet, my wrist must be the exact right size to go between the indentations, because it fits well and it doesn't make any sounds or haptic movements. Ill keep it.

While I started this thread to gauge other's opinions, I am pretty sure I will still keep my Leather Loop. I wore it today going to work and then switched to the Sports Band when I went out for a long walk (I do sweat a lot) and the "feelings" that I thought were from the Loop were basically the same with the Sports band. Guess it is me that has to get used to a watch that does not have some version of a link bracelet - that I generally wore looser than I wear the :apple:Watch.
And I was surprised at some of the "problems" mentioned. I don't see any "silver trim" sticking out - I have the SS Watch; have not had any issues with either band feeling loose where they fit into the Watch itself; and while I do occasionally hear a VERY low "clicking" sound, it is so low and so infrequent that it certainly would not effect my decision to own or return this band. I did like the look of the Classic Buckle - and if I change my mind and return the Leather Loop that is what I will get - but for me it looks a bit too much like all the other leather bands out there (and the ones I have had over the years).
But for me - aside from getting used to the feel of either the Sports Band or the Leather Loop as opposed to a link bracelet - looking at the leather loop, at times it does not look like leather. Sort of looks at times like it could be one of these rubbery bands - or even a textured version of the material in the Sports band.

after playing with the loop for a day, I have figured out ( for me) how to elim the noise /feel of the loop. If I tighten the loop to be super snug, I get the noise/fake haptic. But if I back it off one (or maybe two) indentations, it's still snug enuf to do heartbeat and haptic, but noise goes away. Try it, it may work for you....I agree it does not look like "leather" and still quite expensive....the leather Monowear I own is better in both those regards, (and 1/2 the price) but the blue shade/color is VERY attractive to me....

Id like the leather loop but my wrist size is 180mm should I get the medium or large band?

My wrist was just over 170mm and I am glad I did a try-on before ordering it. I would have ordered the large and would have had to return it. Got the medium and to my eyes there is plenty of loop left after I wrap it around the back to accommodate another 10mm. When I tried on the watch with the large band, the loop wrapped so far around my wrist that it was actually touching the Watch on the other side.

Thanks, I felt that I was right in the middle of both bands but have had a search on the forum and can see a number of people who have said that the large leather loop is huge. Are there any pics of where the medium leather loop end sits o the band once on?

Just got mine today and I was super excited for it.....but now I'm kind of let down.

It doesn't feel near as good as the one I tried on in the store did and the magnets clicking around is annoying because it feels like the taps.
Kind of sucks :/

Here are two. One shows how far around the end goes on my wrist and the other shows about how much extends beyond the smaller loop slot that you run the band through. Hope it helps.

My wrist is 190 mm so it seems the Large is for me. Others agree? While I did two try-ons I did not pay close enough attention to which size I was trying, because I was evaluating a range of watch and strap types.

Is that the way you "need" to wear it? It looks really tight.

Generally a watch is supposed to fit on your wrist "properly" if you can get one finger between the band and your wrist. I never liked watches that had to be worn very tightly - or even less when people wear them like bracelets and they basically keep swinging around the wrist.
With the :apple:Watch, you have to play with it - too loose and it will lose contact with your wrist and either not make readings properly and in some cases it will think it was take off and lock itself; too tightly and your fingers will turn blue! When I first got my Watch - I only had the Black Sports Band at the time - I had to go to the Apple Store to purchase Apple Care and the guy who was helping me (after getting over his jealousy that I got mine already and he didn't) asked how I liked it, and I mentioned that I was missing the tapping. He felt that I was wearing it too tightly. The way I took the picture with the Loop band is probably pretty close to the way I wear it with the SB.

That's a great help thanks. Have now ordered a smaller blue loop to go with my space grey BSB 42mm for when it arrives next month
