iPod bit rate is not working

when importing a cd i set it as aac 192 kbps but when i import the cd is all around 192 like 188 194 etc depending on songs. i have vbr off.

what may be doing this?

has happened with the last 3 cds (all new) i have imported. does this happen to you? ive just noticed it since leopard

Actually I get the same thing, I wouldn't worry about it though. it probably has to do with the song i would imagine.

Try iTunes LAME & see if it sounds better than AAC.
