Bit Torrent Connection Help Please

I just got my first mac last week (MBP)

I'm having trouble connecting with Torrent Applications. I've tried Transmission and Azureus. My old pc laptop could connect on the same network.

Any ideas?

I use Tomato Torrent, but you can also use Limewire for torrents. It may also be a software firewall problem. Try turning it off to see if that helps. The firewall setting are in the Sharing Preference Pane.

Just use the Firewall tab of the Sharing Preference Pane.
