So I installed biteSMS and I use the send through carrier option. Does this charge me any extra or just like normal? Thanks

You get charged by your carrier just the same as you would through Apple's Text sms app.

Sending through your carier means you don't need to purchase biteSMS credits, which are used to send through their special WiFi SMS system.

(I bought some biteSMS credits anyway, to support the developers and to have the wifi sms option available.)
