biteSMS question

hi, running bitesms 5.1 on iphone 4 4.1 and I have a question regarding the statusbar notification when i receive a msg.

right now when i receive a message in bitesms, a little balloon will pop up in the statusbar with a number inside indicating number of unread messages.

I was wondering if there was a way to disable the number but still keep the statusbar icon, so that when i receive a new message, it'll just be a bubble and no number inside.
