Is it safe to run X program on X?

Do you know what X program does? Do you know what X site does?

It's not asking you to for your password is it?

Yes, it's safe. I suggest using BitTorrent to get this.

#1, Macs do not get viruses.

#2, while using BitTorrent is legal, downloading copyrighted material isn't. So unless you plan to download only music from artists who allow their music to be downloaded for free, I highly suggest you do not do this.

#3, Yes, there are BitTorrent and audio playing programs on Ubuntu.

As things stand today, you don't have to worry about any virus because there are none for OS X.

Yes, you can use Ubuntu, but why?
