The "I would have never bought it anyway" line is proven correct because people aren't willing to pay for songs and albums at those prices. But once music streaming became normalized, they, and me too as a former music pirate, decided that $10/month was 100% worth the value of what you are getting.
People were very willing to buy music for many decades until software made pirating easy.
I’m not making any statement about how something should be priced (that should actually be determined by a free market), just that pirating takes something real away from someone.

Piracy is just a pressure release value to unjustifiable prices and technology models.

No, people simply go the path of least resistance. Has nothing to do with whether something is “justified”. If people find an easier/cheaper way to get something, then they go that way. People always want to pay as little as possible.
However, some people will stop at dishonesty because they know it affects others negatively. But some others don't care if they’re dishonest as long as they don't get caught. And some others will be dishonest but find ways to justify it in their heads. (And people hop back and forth between the groups depending on the issue and depending on the day because people are inconsistent.)
But the basic truth should be, if someone makes something you want, but charges a higher price than you’re willing to pay, then you simply don’t get to have it, because you aren’t entitled to it (unless you actually are). Anything else is just false rationalization.
