Can't seem to figure this one out guys. I ordered an iPhone X on Apple.com through my Sprint account full retail. I received it last week, but it would not activate with the included SIM. I called Sprint for hours and they couldn't figure it out. They advised me to call Apple which I did. They also could not figure out what's going on despite using multiple WiFi networks and restoring the phone through iTunes so they sent me a replacement.

The replacement also is doing the same thing saying that it cannot reach the activation server. The error message is "Could Not Activate iPhone. Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable." Called Apple again and they say it's on Sprint's end. Went into a Sprint store and they can't figure it out either.

So, I have a Genius Bar reservation next week, but not sure if anyone has any insight?

Husband had the same issue. He had to stay up until like 11 PST (when most people aren't trying to activate phones) and then got his to work.

I just figured it out. I had to read your post three times before I figured it out. It’s right there in front of your eyes.

The issue is ..... drum roll ....... that you use Sprint

Yeah I had a problem too. I had to ask to be transferred to the Oklahoma call center. There they have senior technicians that can actually see the activation requests. In my case she said there was a corrupt request that had backed everything up and as soon as she deleted the bad request she saw the last eight activation attempts start rolling through and within a minute or two I was good to go.

It took me over two days to find somebody at Sprint that could help though. In my case talking to Oklahoma was key.
