So has anyone noticed that today's Mac Pro announcement has summoned all black items on www.apple.com. I hate to fuel wild speculation, but it does seem as though Apple is favoring the color black these days... the iPhone had an all-black page, including the background... Is there reason to believe that black is the new aqua?

How about "blackqua" ?

Umm.. pro hardware (PM, MacPro, PB, MBP) have been black for a while. The non-pro hardware (iMac, mini, MB) is still in white. Similarly, Aperture, FCP-Black, iLife & iWork- White.

black is more classy than white, i think white makes the item less special. black also gives a better contrast and makes the product stand out more IMO

I'm looking and I'm seeing a Mac Pro, iPhone, :apple:tv, WWDC, and Adobe CS3. *Bold denotes pro.

iPhone is a toss-up because we don't know how Apple will handle the iPhone line, but I left it out because there has never been an "iPod Pro" even though there have been models with more capabilities than others. Same goes for :apple:tv. CS3 isn't even Apple's product so the background could be sky blue for all they cared - but they picked black.
