Black bezel for MBA UPDATED

Hah I promise Im going to post pictures when I get it, I ordered it Saturday and they didn't ship it till today. First thing Ill do when it gets here is take pictures and post a review like I said. I didn't mean to offend anyone I just wanted to let people know about a product I thought was kinda cool.

Hah yeah then then next thing I know people are waiting at my house after it says "delivered" going " um it said it was delivered at 12:30 and now its 12:35 and still nothing!"
But I will post asap. I really do think it adds more to the MBA so I'm excited too

Between this and FINALLY buying a thunderbolt dock for my 2011 air void of USB 3.0 ports, it's going to breathe so much life into it. The latter more functionality/performance wise, and the former aesthetically :D
 
I bought these when they first started...ordered it all the way through a friend of mine in europe. It makes a difference if you are moving from a macbook pro to the air...i hated the silver bazel, to me with the black bazel it looks perfect and allows more attention on the screen and not as distracting as the bright silver bazel around the screen.

That's great to hear! I came from 5+ years of MacBook and pros that had a black bezel. For some reason silver just doesn't look as clean to me.

That's it, I'm ordering :)

The interesting thing is that for me, I always ordered my Macbook Pros with anti-glare/matte finish. Those came with a silver bezel. Now that I have an MBA with a silver bezel, I prefer to have it black. I think the size of the screen has something to do with it.
 
I got the tracking number and it will be delivered Thursday so that night I'll get the pictures up for you guys

What dock did you end up getting? Ive been looking into one too. I looked at the caldigit, landing zone, and the belkin.
 
That's way too expensive for a piece of simple black skin...
And as far as I can tell there is no "MacBook Air" written on it as on original frame, not a deal breaker maybe, but still..

I noticed this as well and I would prefer that the "MacBook Air" writing stay with the black bezel. It is a bit of a deal-breaker for me for close to $30.00 with tax and shipping. If it were say $9.99 I'd be more willing.

I almost cried. Seriously, I wish Apple would lose that bland grey aluminum bezel go for sleeker all glass look for MBA line up

That does look pretty slick. I think the aluminum bezel around the MacBook Air display probably adds durability to it. It already feels pretty fragile. I still think a space gray option would be a great way to hide the bright silver bezel for some people. I really love the raw aluminum though.

The alum. bezel does add the rigidity the screen needs, this is just a skin to go on top so you don't loose that. I definitely helps keep your focus on the screen. Overall I am happy with it.
 
I like it, but it does (from the pictures) make the bezel look wider or at least more noticeable than it does with the silver (at least to my eyes). It could of course just be the angle of the picture or the lighting. Other than that it looks very well done. Nice job and thanks for the pics! Congrats.
