well was using my macbook and he display suddenly went black on me. I charged and restarted with no luck I usually get a quick flash and then it continues to start up. now if I look closely the system is working properly becasue i can see my log in screen very faintly in the back ground. Does anyone know what my issue may be?

    Could be the:
    1. The inverter
    2. LCD backlight.
    3. Logic board.

    Good luck.

If i knew which model of macbook you had i could tell you exactly what the problems is, but since i dont know it could be one of two problems. Write if you have a Macbook unibody aluminium or a plastic one, when it was made, model number specs etc and i'll let you know my diagnosis.

I don't know if this helps in the diagnostic but i am able to hook up my screen to the TV and I can use it regularly. Operation is smooth.
