A: I dont buy app's anymore. Apple prove's to be a very un-reliable partner. After every major update a couple of app's dont work anymore. Now im on the Ihone X with the latest IOS and all together i have 12 app's that dont work anymore. ALL apple does is mentioning it and telling you, you should send an email to the sellers!! No Apple, YOU are selling this, and making a LOAD of money on it!! SO YOU fix this!!

I dont buy "4K" movies anymore! I dont like to be swindled!! By Apple, again. Selling movie's from 1950 en 1952 as 4K i call swindle!! They look, at the most, as a copy from a copy from a VHS tape from the seventies! You can ONLY call a 4K movie 4K when it's been recorded in 4K, anything else is SWINDLE!
Stop swindling people!! 1300 for an Iphone X with the MOST faillure's i ever experienced.

Totally agree with the first part. Apple generates revenue from sales. They should work with developers to make sure the apps they sell work on the latest OS.

4K movies don’t cost any more than regular HD movies. As a consumer, you should also be aware that vintage films will not have modern image quality. The reproduction may be presented in 4K and that may have some advantages, but old movies are... old.

Err, ah, no one believes you own an iPhone X or any Apple product actually. Why would you buy anything from a company you despise so much, a company you accuse of swindling you, a company you allegedly paid $1300 for a product that you find the worst ever? Nope, simply not a believable story, more like an invented troll.

1) You have 14 days to return the despicable iPhone X you allegedly bought.

2) Apple warned and warned for months that with iOS 11 32 bit apps would no longer work. You could even go to ‘Settings’ and view a list of your apps that would not be supported.

3) You simply are wrong about the 4K movie nonsense.

In the UK iTunes store there are some pretty great deals. There are more than I've quickly noted down:

£1.99 4K films to buy:
Life of Pi

£1.99 HD films to buy:
Big Trouble in Little China
I, Robot
Lincoln
The Momuments Men
Robots
Fantastic Mr Fox

£2.99 4K films to buy:
The Longest Ride
Exodus: Gods and Kings

£2.99 HD films to buy
Die Hard
The Theory of Everything
The World's End

£3.99 4K films to buy:
The Martian
Star Trek
X Men Apocalypse
Prometheus

That is actually not the case. Many movies were made using 35mm film that exceeds 4K resolution. Then some were made with 70mm film that far exceeds 4K resolution.

Have you EVER looked at a movie like that? Grain like pigeon eggs. Screw up the color and contrast that it hurts your eyes.
Check up the movies on IBDM, they where never shot in 4K, or anything like it.

Nope... what you have seen are just bad transfers. Look at the list on this site for true 4K transfers. For example, look at Bridge on the River Kwai filmed on 70mm film in 1957. That has better resolution than any 4K digitally filmed movie. There is no grain and the color is great.

Oh dear. I suggest you give it all up and live in the wilderness my friend. You sound so unhappy with your life. Become a monk :)

A good explanation for how old movies like Ben Hur can be released in HD or 4K.

Wow, Little Snitch is 50% off, good deal.
I got a better deal about 5 months back, I bought a digital copy of some german magazine, I got a big discount on Little snitch, the Upgrade was cheap as well, just spend a bit more than the amount you have to pay now.
It's a great App, but not for dummies/beginners.

Reading your posting history makes me wonder why you still even use Apple products? You have severe anger issues, so do yourself a favour and stop using these products that bring you so much rage.

Omg LOL. I just saw a b&w movie from the 40ies in HD the other day. Chrystal clear picture. You have no clue what you are talking about. Those movies had better resolution than even 4K! Go educate yourself.

Wow, are we so far down the road that we need an explanation of the difference between digital and analog media?

Yet, this article doesn't get it right. They make no mention of the importance of the brightness of the lens, lighting, and the speed of the film on film grain. It isn't necessarily the case that 70mm provides inherently more information for digital transfer, it depends far more on the quality of the film and lens. It also depends on whether they have access to the original negatives or have to use a print that may well be generations removed from the original. We've so many really stunning digital restorations of black and white 35mm movies. This can be done because the source material is good.

They also don't mention that a lot of TV was shot in analog interlaced video. Not a lot you can do to make it transfer well.

I don't really buy much in the way of apps anymore either. While I'm not pleased at having to eventually buy new hardware to get updates to apps that have moved on to later version of iOS, my main issue is more so I'm "apped out". I have a backlog of them that I figure I oughtta get to playing them more than buying them. I do have a few, key choice apps that I will auto/insta-buy. Otherwise, I've also been buying more and more for Android since I've built up credit on Google Surveys. That, and some games require internet access. Even though I have wifi at home, and can tether to my phone, I'd rather skip those inconveniences to be able to play away from home.

Speaking of which...
- Arkanoid vs Space Invaders - $0.99, down from $4.99
- Lara Croft GO - $0.99, down from $4.99
- Another Lost Phone - $1.99, down from $2.99
... all look intriguing.

I have Forbidden Desert on Ipad (IIRC, it's still Ipad only), and played the physical board game a few times. Great app!
- Forbidden Desert - $1.99, down from $6.99
