Korg is running a good promo on its music creation apps. Some up to 50% off. It will continue past Black Friday. They have some great software emulations of their classic synths and lots of other great stuff. I loaded up on everything last year when they had the same promo and have no regrets whatsoever.

I grabbed me that upgrade license on Little Snitch 4 for $12.50 and $4.99 for Little Miss Sunshine movie as a personal copy. I just checked that Assasin's Creed is actually $7.99 and I feel like I wanna buy it too.

For games, can’t beat the Steam Sale that is currently ongoing!

Some of those Mac apps are good value.

Wow, Little Snitch is 50% off, good deal.
I got a better deal about 5 months back, I bought a digital copy of some german magazine, I got a big discount on Little snitch, the Upgrade was cheap as well, just spend a bit more than the amount you have to pay now.
It's a great App, but not for dummies/beginners.

I'm not a beginner but is it really worth it for me? I just use Safari, Mail, Messages, Microsoft Office, and iTunes. Maybe Microsoft Remote Desktop and VLC here and there but thats as far as what I use my MacBook for. I just don't know if I need the fine tuning of a highly configurable firewall. I'm on the fence here.

Totally agree with the first part. Apple generates revenue from sales. They should work with developers to make sure the apps they sell work on the latest OS.

4K movies don’t cost any more than regular HD movies. As a consumer, you should also be aware that vintage films will not have modern image quality. The reproduction may be presented in 4K and that may have some advantages, but old movies are... old.

Obviously you have no idea what you’re talking about. Apple can supply the tools but why on earth would a developer spend time re-writing an app you bought for a couple of bucks? Apple can’t force any developer to update an app. Give your head a shake.

Oh dear. I suggest you give it all up and live in the wilderness my friend. You sound so unhappy with your life. Become a monk :)
That’s unfair to monks.

Think of it as a spyware/keylogger monitor... This allows you to see what apps are trying to connect and to where! This is HUGE if you are doing anything that security is important or if bandwidth is important!! You will be amazed at what is trying to connect "in the background", I mean it's actually CRAZY that apps you don't even care about trying to CONSTANTLY connect and that takes from your internet speed... Ie. GoToMeeting tries to connect nearly hourly, WTH!?

Additionally, what is great about the App is that it's not a paid update yearly. I've been on v3 for 5 years and thus I'm upgrading today because I like the great deal and love this software!!

If you are on the fence and value security and your internet bandwidth get Little Snitch TODAY!

As a side note: If you are security concerned, BitDefender is also on Sale: https://www.bitdefender.com/media/html/blackfriday2017-opt/ which isn't a resource hog and works great on scanning Window documents that you receive for Viruses, and of course protects your mac from virus.

Sorry to shorten your post, all was good except the bolded part, there are no viruses for OS X and there's not one known for MacOS either (yet).

Agreed! Sorry for the confusion, I meant we do need to protect ones Mac from Viruses because we do know for a fact that they do exists, while not on the volume as windows they are out there!!

Emerson is offering $40 off MSRP on Sensi smart thermostats today (discount code: BF17-SCE). Most of the retailers are selling them for under MSRP already though so the most you can save is about $10, assuming they pay for shipping.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is not on sale. It is now a free-to-play game, in the Sega Forever program, with ads and a $2 IAP to remove third-party ads. Not sure how this was missed when creating this article.

Nope... what you have seen are just bad transfers. Look at the list on this site for true 4K transfers. For example, look at Bridge on the River Kwai filmed on 70mm film in 1957. That has better resolution than any 4K digitally filmed movie. There is no grain and the color is great.

Thank you for the tip! Great collection there!
