Best deal was the DirecTv deal for a free apple Tv with 3 months purchase of DirecTv :D

(Smart) America maxed out its ATV 4K need during the DTVNOW sale - no stock surplus to go on sale.

I replaced my ATV from the DTVNOW promo with a fire cube 4k. You can buy my ATV

Any offers yet? Guess not much.

I was really hoping to pick up an Apple TV 4K deal to replace my ATV3. :(

Depleted Apple's stock with the DTVNOW offer.

Who,buys this crap, no ssd on iMac. This is disgusting and embarrassing! What has apple become, a junk yard seller?

As much as I love MacOS (although less and less, including the removal for no good reason of CoverFlow, Apple's hardware is making me seriously considering not buying one of their computers to replace my current three Macs once they need to be replaced. MacOS isn't enough of an incentive to be continually financially r a p e d by Tim Cook and Co. for a substandard product that's overpriced beyond the dreams of avarice.

And once again if you want a MacBook Air with more than phone-level storage it’s not the model offered on sale. I really dislike this non-replaceable ssd storage model.

There is ZERO reason that the SSD can't be made to be user replaceable.

I agree. It’s one big reason I’m sitting here right now installing a new OS on an old machine with a new ssd. I’m voting with my wallet.

I still remember in late 90s where all fantastic stylish Apple products being displayed in CompUSA, everyone going past the aisle will appreciate the style, look, design etc....but end up buying PC stuff....just because of outdated specs, expensive....May be we are nearing the future with the price - feature value proposition....

It shows how astronomically priced Apple gear is now that even with decent discounts, the prices are still way above what I'd consider. Especially with practically portless, dodgy keyboarded, gimmicky gimped MacBooks that aren't fit for purpose, not for my needs.

I just so wish I'd bought a higher spec MBPr in 2013, had I known that that was going to be the last proper computer they'd make for over half a decade. It's both laughable and frustrating.

You are not too late. I sold late 2013 512gb 15" rmbp and bought 1TB for even cheaper.

Do the swap if you can find one.

Yup, you think with Apples resources they could’ve easily sourced 1TB sata ssd’s for less than $130 (yes you heard that right) or better yet nvme 1TB ssd for $150 with barely a price change on these iMacs...

I would rather just have easy access to the hard drive to replace myself. Apple could put in a 40 GB drive for all I care.

The deals do seem down but a 2017 15” MBP for $1700 from BH doesn’t seem bad. Heavily considering that one myself.

Did you pull the trigger? I'm considering this deal myself but the 2018 model is also being discounted, although only $300 and I'm wondering how much of a difference there is between the 2017 and 2018 models.

Keyboard *will* fail on a 2017 so that'd be a no-go.

Yes I did. I saw the 2018 was discounted for cyber Monday but I still think at 15" for $1700, even though it was a 2017, was a great deal. I was budgeting around that much for a 2018 13" so the fact I got a 15" with the video card and more RAM that what I would of gotten on the 2018, I am thrilled! If I wouldn't of bought the 2017 15", I would of have been tempted with the 2018 but really didn't want to go much over the $1800 mark.

I have done alot of reading on the 2017 keyboard before I bought I, yes, it can be an issue (and knowing my luck it will be) but it is kind of like reviews for a product. Normally, people only comment if something is wrong, no one comes back to comment if something works. Yes, there are far more instances that there should be with the 2016 and 2017 keyboards but I don't believe them to be a widespread as people think. For $1700, I was willing to take a risk on a 2017 15".
