I'm planning to order my Apple watch series 4 these next few days. I was just wondering if i can expect Apple's online store to give a reasonable discount on black friday or is there a zero chance that will happen.

No. The Only thing you could expect, is maybe a gift card with the purchase of an Apple Watch Purchase, but they don’t usually offer discounts on latest Gen products direct from the Apple store. You will find discounts maybe from other retailers with the Series 4 aluminum, but that’s really about it.

Already had the idea that the words "discount" and "Apple" wouldn't go together. I have no idea what they offered the previous years.

Zero chance. There’s not even discounts at big box retailers on them. Most of the time if you’ve noticed. Black Friday sales are on older models, so they can get rid of old stock to make room for new one.

Apple is having a four day event from Black Friday until Cyber Monday.

This is new for Apple, so it might be better than past years.

Not clear yet if it will include Series 4 in some way, but here is a link:

With this announcement from Apple I am crossing my fingers for something, but I am expecting nothing. This is the second S4 I am buying, for my girlfriend. Trying to save money on these things somehow!

Expect nothing. I’m willing to be that there will be S3’s, iPad 9.7”, previous gen MBP, etc on sale. That’s what they did last year, having sales on older models.

Last year it was only a one-day event with no products actually on sale. Apple gave gift cards:
  • Apple Watch Series 1 w/ Sport Band – $25 gift card
  • iPhone 7, iPhone 6S, iPhone SE – $50 gift card
  • iPad, iPad Pro, iPad mini 4 – $100 gift card
  • MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Pro – $150 gift card
There is no promise this year will be better, but it would be odd to do the same promotion as last year but bill it as a four-day event.

I guess this is the downside to being a ‘Day one purchaser’ with new Apple products. Is that black Friday really wouldn’t have much meaning to me, is because I already own some of the latest products, but I suspect there sale will include some type of gift card bonus. If there are discounts on the Apple Watch, I don’t expect anything more than $50, what I would like to see, is Apple include a watch band with the purchase.

Well it wouldn't hurt to wait and see :) We never know what'll happen and I think Costco has a deal for the latest Apple Watch?

Costco is offering the S4 for only slightly less than MSRP. The 40mm GPS is $384.99. The 38mm S3 is $229.99, but there are other retailers offering Black Friday deals on the S3 for even less than that.

I think the best shoppers can hope for when it comes to holiday deals on the latest Apple hardware is that a retailer might be offering free gift cards or rewards bonuses that are based on purchase amount rather than what item you purchase.

Need any new appliances or a new TV? You could always score a Black Friday deal on one of those, and then put the savings towards a new Apple Watch! :D

Would like to get a 44 silver aluminum S4 - Nike White ... hoping they throw in a gift card that will cover the cost for an extra charging cord (I'll keep it in the car or take to work if the watch gets low).
