What’s the outlook on any Black Friday Deals for a new 16”?

if I bought one now from Apple will they refund a difference if they put it on sale on BF?

Yeah being so new it's unlikely to see super savings - but if you can wait into next year it will probably become increasingly common to find $2-300 off. Personally I want to wait until John Lewis start stocking them (UK) - they're big on price matching but also offer their own 2 year guarantee on top of Apple's 1 year so it's a really ideal place for this sort of purchase :) As I'm probably going to be buying in excess of £100 of new cables, adapters, USB C accessories etc it would definitely be nice to get the machine for £1-200 off.

Apple won't be discounting them, but others may cut the price a small bit. I kind of doubt it, most retailers avoid discounting the latest and greatest. The primary reason is they're going to sell very well anyways why reduce their profits.

I ordered mine from Expercom. If you aren't in a rush (it takes longer because they have to order in store and ship to you after), you can save a decent amount, especially on BTO models. I ended up getting an i9/2.4, 32GB, 8GB 5500M, 1TB SSD. On the machine and Apple Care, I saved a total of $300, and another ~$320 in tax based on where they ship. Total was ~ $4,198 on Apple (including warranty) ended up being $3,577.
