Agreed. Apple BF sales are rather stingy, and are of benefit if you know you're going to have to buy whatever item is on sale anyway. There may be one or two items that may be worth a major look; one year they offered microsoft office for mac media edition for $149 instead of the ($500?) MSRP.
Otherwise, you'd probably get a better discount at a best buy or a online reseller.

You might be better off checking prices at Best Buy. Within last week they had MBA 11" i5/4/128 for $899 and MBA 13" i5/4/256 for $1099.
Apple applies Black Friday discounts on other country's, I bought my cMBP last year with about 100 discount! So other people outside the us might follow this topic, and for them as for me unfortunately, there are no refurbs
